Countertop Material Options

Milano Countertops uses only the finest materials, sourced by trusted granite quarries, to produce custom countertops. Our team is happy to help guide and educate you on the materials best suited for your needs, including:

  • Granite is one of the most durable natural materials available in the world—it can last thousands of years with essentially no deterioration. Granite is not as porous as other natural stones, but will need to be maintained over time.
  • Quartz countertops are manufactured using 95% ground natural quartz and 5% polymer resins. They are highly durable and available in a variety of colors to meet the demand for the most popular looks today. Quartz is not porous, does not require sealing, and is also heat-resistant, chemical-resistant, and fends off scratches.
  • Marble is softer than granite, yet still an incredible classic option. This material is best suited for bathroom and kitchen countertops. Marble is a porous stone and it is known to absorb spills and will scratch. However, with proper care, they can stay beautiful.
  • Quartzite is a beautiful, durable result of sandstone after it has been heated and pressurized. Quartzite countertops often have a decorative sparkling pattern from this process. Its durability is similar to that of granite and will require sealing to protect its natural beauty.

Our team of Cleveland countertop specialists can help guide you through the layout and measurements, seam placements, and color and material selection, all while helping you understand cost variations depending on material.
