Community & Civic Memorials

Community, cultural and civic memorials, memorial benches, monuments, and statues recognize or commemorate a person, place, or event that has great significance to a great number of people.

They are often placed in or around public, commercial, or government buildings, courthouses, schools, and parks. They may be reminders of a tragedy or celebrate the life of someone who has improved conditions in the community. Firefighters, members of the police force, and military personnel are often remembered for the sacrifices they made in the line of duty. Talk to one of our memorial designers about which type of memorial might be best for you. We can design and build anything to blend with the building or landscape and we know what materials can best withstand the conditions, including weather, in which it will be displayed. While Milano Monuments did not design Cleveland's most famous monument, the Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument located in Public Square, we did design and build the Soldier Statue for the The Wounded Warrior Memorial located in Medina, Ohio. We also designed the monument for 3rd Battalion 25th Marines located in Brookpark, Ohio and many other community and civic monuments and statues (Statues are available in granite, stone, bronze, and marble) located in Cleveland and other Northeastern Ohio communities. Granite signs are also available church signs, Cleveland business signs and residential community signs.
