Pillars of Honor: The Hawken Veterans Memorial Tribute
Hawken School in Cleveland commissioned Milano Stone & Restoration to create the 25 black granite pillars you see at their new Hawken Veterans Memorial. Twenty-three of the pillars are dedicated to the 456 Hawken school members and employees that served in any branch of the military since 1925. The final two pillars are the dedication and thank you stones to donors and contractors involved in the project. Upon visiting, you will also see 13 bronze hawks in the garden—each representing a Hawken alumnus killed in action.
