Milano Monuments have formalized a partnership with Jim Leone of the Akron Monument & Granite Company. Leone has served Akron area families in choosing and designing their memorials since 1973. In 36 years or so, funeral directors, cemetery officials, and estate attorneys have observed Leone guide thousands of families in the selection process of size, color and granite type to ensure that monuments meet their expectations.
Leone, a Kent State University graduate intended to be an architect but destiny directed him to a sales job with a monument company. He designed scores of homes and had the opportunity to create and designs for customers who wished to convey their thoughts and wishes into a story telling memorial. Five years ago, Leone formed his own company and has recently coordinated his efforts with Milano Monuments in Brook Park, Ohio across from Holy Cross Cemetery.
Akron Monument & Grante Company, Leone joined in a working relationship with Milano Monuments of Brookpark Road in Brook Park, Ohio because “our business and services are similar,” said Leone. “Though we do business in different regions, we cross over in displays. Their local memorial manufacturing capability is second to none.”
Today Milano Monuments produces about 3,000 monuments a year and features a beautiful and spacious showroom for award winning memorial designs, flowers, wreaths, shrines, statues, jewelry, Christian books and art. All memorial manufacturing, designing, cutting and polishing monuments is performed on-site. Families are able to see full-sized replicas of their loved ones memorial and final resting place.
“The best part of the business is working one-on-one with families, said Milano. “We are a family business and see each customer as an extension of our family.”
Quality, strict attention to detail and service are our everyday priorities. We take great pride in our family business of award winning master artists and sculptors” said Milano.
A working relationship with Leone crosses over Milano Monuments services into Summit Country. This partnership also generates additional awareness with displays, increased personalized service and memorials of awards and distinction.
A side note; Leone traces his roots on his mother’s side to Naples and on his father’s side to Vastogirardy near Rome. The Milano family trace their roots to Naples in the Campania region and Palermo, Sicily.
